| Greyhound Racing in Florida
Florida has more greyhound tracks than any other state in the Union.
Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach Kennel Club features year-round racing, 15 races per performance. General admission is $1; Clubhouse admission is $2. Senior citizens are given free general admission at all live racing matinee performances. Ladies get free admission Wednesday night. Casual attire is appropriate. However, cut-offs, tank tops, bathing suits, and flip flop sandals are not allowed in the Pavilion Clubhouse Restaurant.
Miami
Flagler Greyhound Track has live greyhound racing June through November. The facility also features high stakes poker. From December through May, Flagler has simulcasts of fog, horse, and harness races. There are 12:30 matinees on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; twilight races begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Sundays. Post time is 8:05 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is free.
Hallandale
Hollywood Greyhound Park has a live racing season from December through May. There are 14 races starting at 7:30 p.m. each night. Matinees are held Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 12:30 p.m. There is a Flea Market every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Bonita Springs
Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Track has live races seven days a week from Christmas through Easter. There are five or six days of live racing each week for the rest of the year. Grandstand admission is $2; clubhouse admission is $3. Children under 12 are admitted free.
West Palm Beach
Palm Beach Kennel Club has live racing every day of the week throughout the year. Matinees races are held at 12:40 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Evening races are held Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Children are allowed at the track if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. They are not, however, allowed in the Poker Room or near betting windows.
Tampa
The Tampa Greyhound Track holds live races from mid-June through December. Matinees are offered Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 12:30 p.m. There are races every evening Monday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Admission to the grandstand is $1; Clubhouse admission is $2.50. General Parking is free. Senior Citizens receive free admission on the third Wednesday of each month. Children under age 6 are admitted free if accompanied by parent or guardian.
Ebro Greyhound Park in Ebro features live racing January through October.
Jefferson County Kennel Club in Monticello has live racing all year long.
In Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Kennel Club has a live season that runs from May through September.
Melbourne Greyhound Park in Melbourne has year-round live races.
Orange Park Kennel Club in Jacksonville has a live racing season that runs from November through April.
Pensacola Greyhound Track has live racing year-round.
St. Petersburg Kennel Club (Derby Lane) holds live races from January through June.
Sanford-Orlando Kennel Club in Longwood offers live races November through early May.
Sarasota Kennel Club has live races January through April.
